We demand that the wrongful Victory Day 9 May – not the actual Victory-in-Europe Day (end of WWII on May 8) but the Soviet so called Den Pobedy – celebrated in the Soviet Union and Russia in honour of Stalin's imperialist escalation with symbols and expressions respecting for the occupation of Eastern Europe and insulting the victims should be banned in all 47 member states of The Council of Europe.
We condemn the triumphing of the illegal occupation and other crimes against humanity committed by the Soviet Union after the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact 1939, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molotov%E2%80%93Ribbentrop_Pact#The_Molotov.E2.80.93Ribbentrop_Pact_and_its_secret_protocol and the Stalinist aggression against Poland, the Baltic States and Finland since September 1939 as well as the Soviet occupations of Eastern European countries in 1945. In addition, more than 12% of Finnish territory is still under illegal Russian occupation, the area of which was ethnically cleansed of all inhabitants of that time. The whole population – 430,000 Finnish refugees with their descendants – were robbed of their domiciliary rights by the Soviet invaders. Is the Nazi-Communist Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact still in force empowering the aggressor nation to fête Stalin as an imperialist territorial conqueror? How could Russia still celebrate the Wrong Victory Day without apologies?
